I began my first journal about 100 years ago while a high school student--and since then have found writing about the world, faith, politics, observations about people, sports, the world of entertainment, and life in general a sound way to "step back"--analyze the world and my place in it--process challenges, disappointments, and joys--and develop self-direction. Perhaps sharing these observations will be entertaining and help readers do the same.
